Can get windy as it's up on a hill so bring ear plugs or white noise app if you're a light sleeper "

"This hotel in nothing more than several rotted out cabins on the hill. The site says a 2 star hotel, it is not a one star by anyone's measure. If you do not have a jeep 4 wheel drive do not attempt to drive down to the hotel. We booked this and went to the hotel. The area was closed, due to volcanic activity, but since we had a reservation the police let us pass. I started down the road, stopped and walked over 800 meters to the lodge. "The property was convenient to airport and good for easy freeway access. The restaurant served complementary breakfast, and lunch and dinner options. The food we found was good to very good. Nicely stocked bar. The large pool was like a small oasis. Parking had security. The price point was good. Will be using the Country Inn Suites again."

"The Marriott Hacienda Belen is the only hotel where I stay in San Jose. I have been there 15+ times as it’s the best way to finish a Costa Rica trip before getting back. The convenience of the shuttle to the airport is a must. This hotel has been consistent through the years with impeccable facilities, multiple food outlets, great brunch buffet, welcoming staff and pristine rooms. The place is just beautiful in a very special historic building. I have been recommending it to family and friends. I highly recommend!"
